•  How often should I replace my office desktop computers?  
  • The standard in most corporations is around 36 months.  There are several reasons for this thought process.  As the technologies that are built into computers advance, the older machines may not be able to either load the newer software or, might not be able to take advantage of the newer technology.  A somewhat less obvious reason is that the machines simply age due to use.  The most common failure is the hard drive as it has the most spinning parts.  Not far behind the hard drive is the the power supply and then the motherboard.  The point is not to have a crash that damages data or places the user offline for a long period of time.
